Pointscore Race 1

Join us back at Esk State Forest for our first pointscore of 2024.

RACE SITE: The race site can be found as Esk Forest Road, Redbank Creek, Queensland. Entrance into the forest is just off the Esk Hampton Road, into Esk Forest Road. If you are coming from Esk, this is on the left about 50m after the new creek crossing (ie, where the bridge was washed out following the 2011 floods), approx 11km from the start of the Esk Hampton Road in Esk itself.

TIMES: Heat 1 – Saturday Race Check in will be open from 4:00pm to 4:30pm. Please ensure you have completed your entry form online prior to the day. 4:30pm Drivers meeting - All classes 5:00pm Canicross race start (in daylight) All other open classes 6.00pm race start Heat 2 – Sunday 5:30am Drivers Meeting (prompt) 6:00am Race Start

GENERAL NOTES: Helmets and safety kits are required and will be checked before you start. It may be wet, please bring your wet weather gear and/or a change of clothes.

Good lights are a must if you are competing in the night heat.

All races will be run under ASSA race rules. This race counts towards the NEGRC Queensland Pointscore.

CAMPING: Overnight camping will be ten minutes back down the road at Esk, at the Scout Hall, and we will have access to the amenities there. There will be a gold coin donation required for each person camping to say thanks to the Scouts for letting us use their facilities. You can sleep inside the den and there are tables and chairs inside we can use, as well as cooking facilities. There are flushing toilets and a shower as well.
