Northern Exposure Gig Racing Club Inc is affiliated with the Australian Sleddog Sports Association. Each year, as per our club constitution our members vote on which national body we will choose to affiliate with. ASSA has grown over the years, introducing their new breed register and titling of dogs. The breed register allows sporting dogs (Alaskan Malamutes, Siberian Huskies (and cross breeds of those), Alaskan Huskies, Eurohounds, GSPs, and a few other breeds to be recognised as a registered sporting breed. This allows members that have sporting dogs that are not "pedigree" the opportunity to compete in other dog sports where you require a breed registration. Check out ASSA's website.
