About The Event

Join us for a come and try / beginners morning.

You don’t need a dog or special equipment to participate, we will have enough of these to share, but if you do have anything please bring it along.

We will introduce you to the basics of dryland sled dog racing. Equipment, setting up and basic training tips you can do at home to help condition you and your dog to ensure all on track experiences are fun.

We will meet in the forest Saturday afternoon around 4pm for some track work on our Pechey tracks and training run if cool enough. Sunday morning we will meet at 7:00am and get underway by 7:30am for our equipment talks, basic training tips and a walk with the dogs.

What to bring with you: - Water for your dog (2 litres per dog is recommended but extra is always handy) - Tie out/tether or crate - Enclosed shoes - Vaccination certificates for all dogs attending - Bicycle helmet - Poo bags - $5 per non member

***Please ensure you bring your own helmet, due to current hygiene practices we will not be sharing any personal equipment.***

VENUE: The race site is off the New England Highway, Hampton Queensland. It is approximately 2.3km heading from Hampton towards Crows Nest. Follow the sign off the New England into the race site.
