What is Sled Dog Racing?

Sled Dog Sports or Racing is a winter sport where dog/s pull a scooter, bike, rig or canicross (running with your dog).

We offer competitive and social classes, as well as fun runs before and after events. We are all about enjoyment with the dogs! Check out how to get involved in the world of Sled Dog Sports in Queensland here.

We are a family friendly club!

Northern Exposure Gig Racing Club Inc. was founded in 1995 by two Siberian Husky enthusiasts who ventured down to Victoria to participate in Australia's biggest sleddog race. Upon returning to QLD, they introduced the idea of sleddog racing and formed NEGRC.

NEGRC is all about having fun with your dogs, friends and family. We have a great culture that relies heavily on the support of our volunteers and committee. We have our annual Easter camping trip to Girard State Forest where we put on an Easter egg hunt for the kids (and adults of course)! We engage in social walks to the beach throughout the summer as well catching up whilst the dogs rest at home in cool!

2013 saw the return of our annual Northern Challenge event typically held in Girard State Forest, Northern NSW. To find out more about this event, click here!
