- To hold competitive events, fun days and have a set of rules by which
anyone wishing to run their dog/s must abide.
- To promote the education of club members on rules, regulations and
procedures of Sled Dog Racing.
- To coordinate and protect the common interests of the club's members.
- To collect, collate and circulate information relevant to Sled Dog
Racing, to and among the club's members.
- To inform and educate the club's members on the proper care and handling
of the Sled Dog to ensure their humane treatment and to ensure identification
and treatment of any health problem peculiar to the Sled Dog.
- Encourage the provision of opportunities for participation in Sled
Dog Racing by all members of the community.
- Maximise the enjoyment of Sled Dog Racing by all those taking part.
- Increase the awareness of the sport of Sled Dog Racing amongst the
general public, the business community, the media and the government.
- Promote Queensland as a successful state in Sled Dog Racing competition
to Australia and internationally.
- To provide for non-discrimination against any dog or team because
of breed or non-registration with a pure breed registry.
